Emilia Henriques

Yoga

 

Emilia has been a student of yoga since 2014 and views it as a great privilege to hold the seat of the teacher. She first came to yoga seeking ways to shift how her physical body presented to the world, though what has kept her in this practice has been the deepening of relationship with self that moving in alignment with breath has offered. Because of this, Emilia’s yoga instruction largely comes from a place of wanting to support others to feel at home in their own mind, body and soul.

Her offerings tend to take the form or Hatha or Vinyasa practices that weave in thoughtful, creative and breath-centred sequences with sprinklings of mindfulness, embodied movement, yogic philosophies, tools for nervous system regulation. To Emilia, there is no prerequisite to yoga, rather all bodies are invited to move and breathe with me. Her hope is that you leave our time together feeling strong yet grounded, and powerful yet centred.
